Position Summary
Provides evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions to patients and families affected by mental illness. Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team and community-based personnel, as needed, to ensure efficient service delivery and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides individual and group therapy in an outpatient setting, via telemedicine and/or in-person treatment.
- Provides comprehensive assessment and diagnosis using the DSM-V. Develops treatment plans and aftercare planning.
- Prepares ahead for sessions, tailoring treatment to each patient's unique needs.
- Documents in a timely manner. Participates in program growth that includes engaging in wellness programming planning and/or community outreach activities.
- Attends and contributes to team meetings and peer supervision.
- Engages in continuing education.
- Communicates and collaborates regularly with patient care team–both other mental health care providers, as well as other medical providers at Weill Cornell Medicine / New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Education
- Master's Degree
Experience
Experience working with individuals and families affected by mental illness.
Experience providing evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches.
Ability to thrive within a complex medical system.
Working understanding of the healthcare system.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Licenses and Certifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the State of New York
