Title: Program Specialist
Position Summary
Provides comprehensive administrative support to department specific programs and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Assists with the planning, organization and implementation of program-related activities and events.
- Represents the program at meetings and/or conduct trainings within the community.
- Assists in developing partnerships within the community and with governmental bodies to support and/or enhance program initiatives.
- Responsible for collecting data and managing databases. Assists with data analysis.
- Responsible for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed.
- Responsible for procurement activities related to goods, services, and/or equipment as needed.
- Coordinates calendars and schedules appointments and meetings. Prioritizes requests for meetings and coordinates the necessary arrangements. Prepares materials for meetings and/or trainings as needed.
- Performs other related tasks such as assisting in organizing and duplicating materials, filing, editing documents/presentations, report writing, outreach activities and meeting minutes.
- If applicable, screens and responds to consultation requests associated with the program. Facilitates outside resources through governmental and community-based agencies as needed.
- May be responsible for managing program budgets.
Education
- High School Diploma
Experience
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Approximately 2 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain confidentiality, and exercise good judgment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
