Position Summary

This position contributes to the development of AI-driven VR experiences and immersive applications for medical devices involving advanced data modelling, machine learning, and the supporting creation of innovative medical solutions using VR technologies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Designs, prototypes, and develop scalable VR and AI-driven software solutions for medical applications.
  • Creates complex 3D models, animations, and scenes, ensuring high-quality interactive VR experiences.
  • Develops and optimizes machine learning models for data analysis, prediction, and visualization.
  • Conducts complex statistical analysis and provide actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Ensures data consistency and quality through advanced data validation and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge VR and AI technologies into medical projects.
  • Guides the researchers and junior team members and equips with best operational practices in VR and AI development.
  • Collaborates with medical institutions such as Hamad Medical Corporation and Sidra to implement innovative projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, data science, or related field with 5 plus years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced proficiency in Unity, Python, R, and SQL and exposure to AR/VR development concepts.
  • Extensive knowledge of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Implements Unity’s interface, scene management, and asset importing.
  • Extensive knowledge of programming languages such as C# scripting for interactive elements.
  • Extensive knowledge of cross-platform deployment in Unity and animation tools for simple effects.
  • Extensive knowledge of performance optimization techniques and version control (e.g. Git).
  • Extensive debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting knowledge using Blender, Maya, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.

    Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar was established in 2001 as a partnership between Cornell University and Qatar Foundation (QF). The first medical school in Qatar and a pioneer of coeducation at the university level, WCM-Q offers an integrated Six-Year Medical Program that incorporates pre-medical and medical studies and leads to the Cornell University M.D. degree.
